ABOUT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The UNAM Alumni Association is a voluntary association that was established in November 2002. Graduates from the Academy of Tertiary Studies and University of Namibia are able to join this exclusive association, which aims to maintain close ties with graduates and their alma mater. Over 12,000 students have graduated from the University of Namibia since its establishment in 1992, and many others from its predecessor, (the University component of the Academy for Tertiary Education). The Alumni Association is guided by the Alumni Executive Committee, an advisory committee. The Committee is dedicated to developing programs and benefits of interest to alumni, to increasing membership in the Alumni Association and to developing a strong alumni base.

Vision Statement

• To create and maintain good relationships between Alumni and UNAM;
• To ensure Alumni remain part of the treasure house of knowledge , in the preservation and promotion of the University;
• Establish and maintain a strong network amongst Alumni to foster professional development, social engagement and support for UNAM.

Mission Statement

The University of Namibia Alumni Association is a voluntary organisation that aims to further lifelong partnership between the University and members of the association to promote the University’s mission and enhance multi-faceted public support.
