NORTHERN CAMPUS GOALS

  • To accomplish its objectives the Campus has set itself the following goals:
  • Develop innovative educational programmes to meet the needs of society;
  • Develop programmes addressing health and human development issues;
  • Provide interactive pipeline to UNAM main campus, schools and community learning centres for enriching educational opportunities;
  • Expand the state-of-the-art Library Resource and Information Technology Centre with the latest technology and materials;
  • Increase access to higher education opportunities;
  • Develop flexible and mobile outreach activities;
  • Provide educational and training services to build regional capacity and guide leadership and empowerment initiatives;
  • Develop proactive citizens capable of creating jobs and contributing to the wealth of the country;
  • Enhance and upgrade the use of English at tertiary level and provide the highest quality language instruction in English, Namibian and other international languages;
  • Produce a pool of highly skilled workforce available for the developing economy;
  • Initiate and conduct research into educational, social, cultural and economic issues;
  • Provide ongoing assessment of impact of programmes and activities;
  • Expand the small Business Development Centre;
  • Develop a conducive learning and working environment for our students, clients and staff.
