    7. Short Biography I started my teaching career in exile during 1981 when, as an unqualified teacher, I was assigned by SWAPO to teach Namibian children at Namibia Health and Education Centre at Kwaza-Sul in Angola. In 1982, I joined the U.N. Institute for Namibia to formally train as a teacher which I completed at the end of 1984. I resumed teaching at Kwaza-Sul in January 1985, and then left for further studies to Canada in October1985. After completing studies in Canada in 1991, I started teaching at Nuuyoma Secondary School (1992) in Northern Namibia, and then joined Ongwediva College of Education in 1993. I held a lecturer’s position until the end of 1995. For 10 subsequent years, I held the post of Head of Department of BETD In-service.
