| Dr Trudie Frindt is the Director of the Centre for External Studies at the University of Namibia. She started her career as lecturer at the University of Namibia during July 1990, and has been heading the Department of Continuing Education for the past 16 years. During her stay at the University she spearheaded UNAM on Air and produced 57 educational radio programmes. She was also instrumental in the organisation and management of the UNAM Access Programme at the UNAM Northern Campus, which resulted in a PhD study, “Bridging the gap between school and University: A case study of the University of Namibia Access Programme. Apart from providing outreach programmes to the Namibian community, she also launched two certificates programmes through the Department of Continuing Education namely, The Certificate in HIV/AIDS Counselling and a Certificate in Mid-level management. |
