Biography in brief
Ms. Du Preez is a researcher working on her doctorate degree by research. She recently completed her M.Sc. at the University of Namibia and is now working as a researcher at the Multidisciplinary Research Centre (MRC), in the Science, Technology & Innovation Division (ST&ID) under the Pharmaceuticals Program. Her research work focuses on the validation of medicinal plants used by traditional healers in Namibia as potential treatment for malaria.
Ms. Du Preez also completed her B.Sc. at the University of Namibia in 2009 and worked as a Junior Researcher at MRC, University of Namibia for the period 2010-2011; she worked on her Master’s degree during this period as well.
