- Consultancy to Develop the National Plan of Action on Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Human Trafficking and its M&E Plan, 2010
- HIV/AIDS Training for School Principals, Educators, Curriculum Developers, Counsellors and Advisory teachers in all the 13 Regions of Namibia, 2006. (Commissioned by HIV/AIDS Management Unit (HAMU), Ministry of Education, Namibia.
- Consultancy to provide technical assistance and to accompany the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus of the National Council of Namibia on their Outreach Programme to the following regions: Erongo, Otjozondjupa, Omaheke, Hardap, Karas, Ohangwena, Caprivi, Kavango, and Khomas, 3 – 21 August 2009. The objective of the trip was to educate and share information with citizens of Namibia on human trafficking, taking into consideration the FIFA 2010 World Cup that was held in South Africa; Child labour; Sustainable development; Baby dumping; Voter Education for Elections, Youth upliftment by the Media and Value systems.
- Consultancy to accompany and document the trip of the National Council Parliamentarians on a Fact Finding Mission on Human Trafficking in the United Kingdom from 8 – 17 August 2008. The mission culminated in the drafting of a White Paper on Human Trafficking for Namibia and enactment of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act (POCA)
- Consultancy to develop fact sheets on gender issues, prepare and present a briefing for Members of Parliament of the National Assembly on “Gender and its linkages to Gender Based Violence, Sexual and Reproductive Health, HIV and AIDS and Poverty”, July 2010.

| Biography in brief
Michael Conteh holds a Masters degree in Development Studies with specialisation in Women, Gender, Development and Poverty Studies from the Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Hague, The Netherlands. As a Researcher/lecturer and a Gender Specialist, Mr. Conteh has 9 years experience conducting research and training on women's issues in Namibia, coordinating donor funding for the gender and HIV and AIDS Project, capacity building of relevant Government line Ministries, local NGOs, FBOs and CBOs, on social and developmental issues such as HIV/AIDS, Women’s Property and Inheritance rights, human and child trafficking, Child Labor, national pride, local sustainable development, poverty and gender issues, to mention but a few. Mr. Conteh has demonstrated extensive knowledge in developing Constituency Plans for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), gender sensitization, awareness and gender mainstreaming training workshops, Training of Trainers (TOT), gender budgeting, Community advocacy and mobilization. He is skilled in conducting focus group discussions, development of gender related materials and report writing. Mr. Conteh is currently the Coordinator of the Gender Training and Research Program (GTRP), Social Sciences Division (SSD) at the Multidisciplinary Research Centre (MRC), University of Namibia (UNAM). |
