Biography in brief
Dr Nelago Indongo has 11 years’ experience in teaching, research and consultancy. She is a Senior Lecturer in Statistics and Demography with vast experience in fertility, mortality and reproductive health. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and mathematics from the University of Namibia in 1996. She is a holder of a Master degree in Social Statistics from the University of Southampton, UK and a Doctor of Philosophy in Population Studies (Demography) from the University of Pretoria, RSA. She has papers published in regional and international journals in the field of population studies and is a member of various population studies associations. Dr Indongo has been involved in various research collaborations and is currently writing papers and reports on Urbanization in Namibia. She served as Head of Statistics Department in the Faculty of Science and is currently the Director of a Multidisciplinary Research Centre of the University of Namibia.
