A brief explanation on MRC publication workshop that occurred 20-22 September 2010

MRC held a Publication Workshop from 20-22nd September 2010 at the Video Conferencing Room-UNAM Library. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Steve McCool; a Professor at the University of Montana. This activity falls under the Collaborative Program between MRC- UNAM and the University of Montana, USA. The workshop focused on the Publication and Peer Review process, Manuscript Preparation and Manuscript Submission.

The workshop included also some exercises on manuscript evaluation and publication decision within working groups. MRC staff members have attended this workshop including other UNAM staff members from the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Prof. McCool motivated the participants to write and submit one manuscript for the next year; this will help UNAM to increase the number of published articles in peer review journals. At the end of the workshop Prof.McCool and Dr. Matengu distributed Certificates of Attendance to the participants.
