GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
The Centre for Quality Assurance and Management (CEQUAM) is a coordinating organ of all quality assurance activities at the University of Namibia with the aim to harmonize various quality assurance aspects/activities within UNAM. The fundamental aim of CEQUAM is to put in place a comprehensive system to monitor and evaluate the quality of provision of all services and activities of the University with the aspirations to:
- Enable UNAM to assure itself and its stakeholders that the University’s policies, systems and processes for the development, maintenance and enhancement of quality in all its educational and service delivery provisions are functioning effectively.
- Enable UNAM to identify areas of strengths and excellence as well as areas in need of focused attention for continuous improvement in the short, medium and long-term.
- Continuously improve the Quality Assurance system, through reviews, streamlining and modernizing of QA functions, policies, regulations and their supporting procedures.
- As part of our continuous quality improvement, undertake a periodic critical self-evaluation in terms of our activities in terms of teaching and learning, research, community engagement and support services.
- Harmonize UNAM’s Quality Assurance activities.
- Develop a database for all policies, regulations and Quality Assurance activities at UNAM.
- Facilitate and coordinate internal and external audits as well as programme accreditation activities on behalf of the university.
