The University of Namibia established the University Central Consultancy Bureau in 1999. UCCB is a vehicle through which the University Staff members and students from faculties and centers can participate in projects that are contributing to the betterment of the social, political, cultural, economic and environmental milieu of Namibia .

The University central consultancy Bureau is responsible for tendering on behalf of the University for contracted projects and for which UNAM has expertise. 

Additionally, the bureau also serve to attract, increase, facilitate, support and coordinate all consultancy activities that are solicited; to facilitate, support and coordinate joint rendering of consultancy services initiatives of the University 's faculty, departments or staff members of any center; and that all projects are distributed in a fair and transparent and cost effective manner to the university's faculties, departments and centers so as to provide opportunities for staff members to engage in rendering consultancy services in accordance with the University

Mission Statement

UCCB will strive to constantly improve the University knowledge and skills base by engaging University staff and students to participate in projects that are contributing to the betterment of the social, political cultural, economic and environment milieu of Namibia, SADC region and the African continent.

The Bureau is performance focused in ensuring that the acquired financial resources for projects from Government, international agencies, local financial institutions, and private sector institutions are improving the living conditions of the ordinary people.
