The University of Namibia has since its inception in 1992 committed itself to achieving academic excellence that is obvious and of significant consequence. At UNAM, excellence means matching what we do in the classroom with the true potential of our academic and administrative staff. In addition to the seven academic faculties, the University of Namibia has over the years established Centres of Academic Excellence to meet the development needs of Namibia. Services offered through these various centres range from short courses, consultancies and research in science and technology and humanities to delivering quality education through distance education.
