ABOUT ZERI

The Zero Emissions Research Initiative (ZERI), launched in 1994 at the United Nations University, is a new vision, which is supported by the University of Namibia. This vision addresses current and 21 st Century challenges of humanity. Under the ZERI vision, a wide spectrum of materials from agricultural, agro-industrial and other activities which are normally discarded as waste, thus polluting the environment, can be conceived as raw materials for many other value-added products. The ZERI message is relevant to the solution of problems in Africa , in the developing world and the world at large.
