(maximum 150 words)

Have taught at UNAM for over six years (2002 – present), conducted research on a wide range of topics such as Seaweed utilization, Seaweed biodiversity, taxonomy and Molecular systematics, mushroom cultivation, Aquatic resources of the Cuvelai drainage system. Have also been tasked with coordinating Seaweed projects at the Sam Nujoma Marince and Coastal Resources Research Centre at Henties Bay, headed the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation from 2005-mid 2007 before relinquishing the headship in order to take up my PhD studies. Have been the Namibian partner on the Seaweed Africa project (2002-2006).
