7. Short Biography
(maximum 150 words)

Dr Gwanama began his career as a veterinary entomologist and worked for three years. After his MSc he entered academics and has served a total of 12 years at the University of Zambia and the University of Namibia as lecturer in Crop Science. He has considerable experience in plant breeding and mushroom production and served as a short-term consultant to the UNOPS/UNDP in mushroom production and biotic resources value addition.
