Ms. Kachigunda is a Zimbabwean with more than fifteen years of experience in statistical consultancy in agricultural research and tertiary institutes in Zimbabwe and Namibia. She was a biometrician for the Ministry of Agriculture in Zimbabwe and has provided statistical training for SADC Regional Early Warning Unit, done  collaborative research with the University of East Anglia, the School of Development Studies, United Kingdom, Compton Animal Health Research Institute, United Kingdom, was Divisional Biometrician at Kutsaga Research Station, Harare for two years, and lecturing Biometrics and Research Methods at Midlands State University, Gweru, Zimbabwe for three years and was a lecturer at the Open University of Zimbabwe for over ten years. Ms. Kachigunda currently teaches Research Methods and Biostatistics in the Faculty and provides statistical consultancy in the form of data analysis, data management and interpretation, statistical computing and project design.

Workshop attended

Attended training workshop on “Biometrics & Research Method Teaching Resources” at University of Botswana. The workshop was organized by the Department of Statistics, University of Botswana, International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and the International Biometrics Society. The workshop was sponsored by the Ford Foundation. The workshop introduced a resource CD whose contents include the various steps in the research process; research strategy, study design, data management, exploratory data analysis, statistical modelling and reporting. 3 June 2009
