  • Department of Accounting, Auditing & Income Tax, the largest department at UNAM, is engaged in serving the nation by training Namibians in areas of accounting, finance, auditing and taxation. Apart from several undergraduate programs the department offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Internal Auditing and a Masters in Accounting & Finance.

  • Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences: comprises of four departments, namely Accounting, Auditing & Income Tax, Economics, Management Sciences and Political & administrative studies. In addition to these departments the faculty has Namibia Business School.

  • University of Namibia (UNAM): established in 1992, UNAM is the only University of Namibia, located in capital city Windhoek. The university includes 8 faculties namely agriculture & natural resources, economic & management sciences, education, humanities & social science, law, medical & health science, Engineering and science faculty .

  • Windhoek: founded on 18 October 1890, is the capital, largest city (population: approximately 250000) and major educational and commercial hub of the country. Windhoek enjoys its reputation as cleanest city in Africa.

  • Namibia: a popular tourist destination is located in southern Africa on the Atlantic coast with abundant wildlife and other attractions. Named after the Namib Desert it is the second most sparsely populated country in the world. Namibia is one of Africa’s most developed and stable countries, with a stable multiparty parliamentary democracy. Tourism, Diamond & Uranium mining with fishing form the backbone of economy. Included among must see locations are Etosha National park established in 1907; Oshikoto Lake, the world’s largest underground lake used by German soldiers to dump their weapons to prevent them from being used by their enemies in the first world war; coastal twin cities of Swakopmund and Walvis bay where sea meets desert; Okavango Delta the only non-seasonal river in the world that does not reach the sea but instead empties in the Kalahari desert; Cape cross, one of the largest seal colonies; Fish river canyon, the second largest canyon in the world.
