7. Short Biography

Mr Noah !Gaoseb was born at Rooibank, Walvisbay. He started his teaching career as an unqualified teacher at Welwitschia Junior Secondary School in Khorixas, teaching English. That was before Independence in 1986. He is involved in mathematics and science teacher education since 1998. Mr Gaoseb has lectured in Education as well as in Science faculties. He has lectured courses such as Basic Mathematics, Elementary Mathematics, Linear Algebra 1, Mathematics 1B, Analytic Geometry, Intro to Math Literacy (Adult Education), and Statistics for Educators. He has also tutored Master in Education students in SPSS. He was involved in the introduction and continuation of the Mastep Program. He has also taken part in number of community projects such as Ondao Mobile schools and Mathematics Task Force. Noah is a preacher of righteousness, and during lunch hours, he synthesizes students on the importance of being born again.
