Dr Miriam Hamunyela is a Namibian, started her teaching career at Ongwediva College of Education (OCE), Northern Part of The country after she completed her Degree – Bachelor of Pedagogics (B Ped.) at the University of Fort Hare in 1989. She served as a lecturer for Education Theory and Practice (1989 -2006), co-ordinator for Practice Teaching and Head of School Based Studies (1990 -1994) as well as a Head of Professional Studies Department (1992 – 2006) in the same institution(OCE). She served in the National Examination Board, National Standard Setting Body for Teachers (2003-2005), and National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) (2005 -2008) in Namibia. In addition, she chaired the Research and Publication Committee of the NCHE. Dr Hamunyela is now a lecturer in the department of Lifelong Learning and Community Education at the University of Namibia since. She presented papers on education reform in Namibia nationally and internationally.
