Charlotte Keyter is a Namibian with over twenty four years of experience in the higher education sector in Namibia. She has been involved in teacher education for the past 24 years. Ms Keyter is a senior lecturer in the department of Mathematics, Science and Sport education. Her in-depth knowledge and experience in education, curriculum development, nutrition, mostly regarding issues of nutritional management in HIV/AIDS and nutrition at national, SADC, African and international levels is sure to broaden the horizons of this study area to a global level. Ms. Keyter is a key member of the Food and Security committee of Namibia since its exception. She was instrumental in the development of the Namibian Food Guide policy. She has work on several projects with the ministries of Agriculture, Education and Health and Social Services. She also played a key role in the development of several school curricula in Namibia and has been a core member of the moderation team moderating the teacher education colleges. For years she was in the management team of the Faculty of Education and was a member of the audit committee of UNAM in 2004. She participated in the consultancy team that recently developed the guidelines for Teacher Education Reform in Namibia and has worked on several projects with the ministries of Agriculture, Education and Health and Social Services. She is currently a Board member of NAMCOL. She is also a school-textbook author. She was the deputy chairperson of the committee responsible for development of the National Professional Standards for Teachers. She also assisted with developing the Tertiary Education Section in ETSIP. She is currently the chairperson of the Curriculum Committee in the Faculty of Education. |
