Dr Gilbert Likando is a Namibian educationist with over eighteen (18) years of experience in the education sector in Namibia. He has been involved in teacher education for the past 18 years. He is currently the Head of the Department of Educational Foundations and Management, Faculty of Education. Dr. Likando offers courses in the Bachelor of Education progamme and Specialised Diploma in Educational Management and Leadership programme. He has been involved in several research and consultancy work including among others the evaluation of the EFA Coordination Mechanism in Namibia through UNESCO; UN-Spanish MDG-Fund Proposal on:  Sustainable Cultural Tourism in Namibia commissioned by National Planning Commission and UNESCO. He has also played a prominent role in a member of community engagement activities.  He is currently, a member of NIED Curriculum Panel (Social sciences) and Vice-Chairperson of the Selection Committee for Old Mutual NedNamibia Education Trust Fund among others.
