(Mrs. Immaculate Sechogele has vast experience in the field of gender studies, women’s studies and reproductive health. She is offering gender courses in the Department of Lifelong Learning and Community Education and she is also teaching gender courses across faculties. Her latest research interest is in the area of HIV/AIDS, Gender Based Violence, Women and Child Traffic for sexual exploitation.  Her written books cover the abovementioned themes.

Mrs. Sechogele has been in the education sector for the past 12 years. She has built networking relations with Universities in Southern Africa and in the Netherlands.

2004. Conducted research on the Impact of HIV/AIDS Epidemic on Agriculture and Land Tenure Systems for Permanent Technical Team on Land Reform,

2000  Conducted research at the Northwest Health Directorate on the Male involvement in reproductive health project, sponsored by  UNFPA,

National Consultant: UNAIDS (Namibia Office), 2007

United Nations Secretary General’s Task Force on Women, Girls and HIV/AIDS in Southern Africa The purpose of the consultancy was to identify how Namibia is addressing the challenges facing women and girls in relations to HIV/AIDS; The Consultancy was done in conjunction with the UNAIDS-Geneva Office and the UNAIDS-Pretoria Office.
