Tom Fox graduated from the Universities of London and the South Bank, UK and majored in Sociology, Politics and Media Studies. He is currently Lecturer in Sociology at UNAM, and undertaking DPhil. research on media and identity negotiation in Windhoek through the Dept. of Journalism, University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He came to Namibia in 1996. He has published and researched broadly on HIV and culture, media in Namibia and on development issues, including research consultancies with the United Nations Development Programme, French Cooperation and the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation. He is co-editor/contributor to the book ‘Namibia Society Sociology’ (2005).
