    Dr. M. Grobler is a Namibian citizen and has been lecturing in Social Work at the University of Namibia since 1989. She is a senior lecturer and teaches the senior students in Advanced Counselling, but also at times teach a first year class in order to empower junior students and to evaluate their personality traits as part of a screening process. She has developed skills in dealing with big class groups in a more personal way, which is the characteristic of social workers.
    Dr. Grobler was working as a practising social worker in the field for 21 years and was a Director of a big NGO in South Africa, which employed 65 social workers. She has extensive fieldwork experience, which she uses in class discussions and in supervision sessions with students.
    She is the Vice President of the Council for Social Workers and Psychologists and takes a leadership position in the professional world of social workers. She sits on directorates of NGO’s in the country and represents the social work profession.
