    SHORT BIOGRAPHY
    (maximum 150 words)
    Oliver C Ruppel is the Director of the Human Rights and Documentation Centre at the Faculty of Law, where he also lectures. Prior to his 2006 UNAM appointment he worked internationally as a legal and business consultant, arbitrator and as part time lecturer in various institutions. He is engaged in national and international legal consultancies and functions inter alia as legal advisor to the Office of the Ombudsman of Namibia in environmental matters. He graduated in law after studies at the Universities of Lausanne (Switzerland) and Munich (Germany). He holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa), a doctoral degree in law from the University of Pressburg (Slovakia), a Master of Mediation degree from the University of Hagen and a postgraduate diploma from the Munich School of Philosophy (Germany).
