Welcome to the website of the Department of Mathematics (Pure and Applied) at the University of Namibia. The website provides information on the courses offered in the department and acquaint you with the various activities in which the department is involved.
The Department of Mathematics is relatively small with a complement of 10 fulltime academic staff members. We are committed and dedicated staff members striving to assist every interested person in mathematics. We take personal interest in development and success of every student in account. In the Department of Mathematics every student is a person with a name and a face; and not just a number!
Our department is committed to the highest standards of excellence in teaching and community outreach. We offer excellent undergraduate courses in Mathematics (Pure and Applied). The department is intending to start postgraduate courses early in 2011 for the development of mathematics at research level.
