Short Biography	Namibian by birth. Mrs. Morkel has been a technologist in the Department of Biological Sciences since 2004. Prior to her appointment at the University of Namibia, she worked as a teacher at a state run school where she taught Senior Biology and Junior Physical Science and Mathematics.
Recently Taught Courses	Responsible for the preparation of Ecology and Plant (Physiology, Growth & Development ) practical sessions.

Recent Professional Activities	Served as research assistant on research done on the “Assessment of the environmental impacts of acid mine drainage (AMD) from mine dumps on flora, soils, ground water and surface water in central Namibia”, University of Namibia Completed training in Laboratory Management Practices Worked in various community service projects such as career and science fairs.
