Mr. Simon Andrew Shimboyo is a Namibian born in Windhoek. Attended all of his schooling in Windhoek and finished his Grade 12 at Jan Jonker Afrikaner High in 2000. Since 2001 he has been part of the University of Namibia community as an Undergraduate student and currently the first Master of Science (by Thesis) student in the Physics department at the University of Namibia . He started working for the Physics department as a Part-time tutor and then became a full-time Tutor in the department presently.
Academic interest/ expertise
Mr. Shimboyo's area of study is in Applied Nuclear Physics and is currently busy doing “Natural Radioactivity in the soils of the Coastal towns in Western Namibia” research. He has also co-authored a research paper entitled “Measurement of Natural Radioactivity in the soils of the Open-Pit Rossing Uranium Mine” that has been submitted for publishing.
