Dr Shimwooshili Shaimemanya is a Fulbright Scholar and has been involved in teaching graduate students for the past 15 years. She is currently the Deputy Director, Postgraduate Studies responsible among others for coordinating and running of University of Namibia and externally supported postgraduate training programmes to ensure quality control and the maintenance of high academic standards; coordinating the consideration and processing of postgraduate student research proposals, theses and dissertations; coordinating and administering viva voce examinations; providing academic support services to postgraduate students; empowering through short courses, seminars/workshops academic staff to teach at postgraduate level and conduct effective student supervision. Dr Shimwooshili Shaimemanya has been involved in the supervision of graduate research, organization and facilitation of workshops on Building Capacity on Postgraduate Teaching, Research, and Student Supervision. She is currently working on a change project titled: Reorienting Teacher Education at the University of Namibia (UNAM) to address Sustainability: Infusing ESD in the Curriculum of both graduate and undergraduate students. |
