research capacity building & training

In line with its mandate of contributing to academic staff capacity building in terms of research, the Research and Publications Office (RPO) has put in place a series of targeted interventions in form of workshops to enhance research capacity. With effect from February 2011 a series of workshops targeting academics in all ten (10) UNAM campuses (especially the four former Colleges of Education) have been planned. These include:

• Induction workshop for faculties, campuses and centres Research and Publications Committee Representatives (RPCRs)
• Workshop on the review of Institutional Research Strategy (2011- 2015)
• Workshop on the development of Research Policy and  intellectual Property Policy
• Workshop on Institutional Research Strategy implementation
• Workshop on research proposal writing
• Workshop on writing for publication
• Workshop on research quality assurance
• Workshop for RPCRs  on the implementation of  research M&E tool
• Annual research conferences
